Office Manager
Rey wears many hats within & outside the Practice as Office Manager, Dr. Matouk’s husband, a father, a Navy Veteran, and has his own career as an engineer. His achievements began young when he was 13 years old when he was accepted to one of the highest regarded college preparatory schools in Houston, The Kinkaid School. After Kinkaid, he attended Colorado State University but he returned to Houston after his first year and wanted to serve his country. He joined the US Navy and was accepted into their elite Naval Nuclear Engineering Program where he ultimately landed in the Submarine Force and served honorably in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on the USS Charlotte, SSN 766 engineering division. During his experiences in the Navy, he was exposed to various cities, countries, cultures and people from all walks of life. When he returned to Texas he used the GI Bill to complete his Bachelor’s of Science at the University of Texas at San Antonio where he met Dr. Matouk and became friends. He then went on to be accepted into a joint engineering program between The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and The University of Texas to earn his Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering.
Rey is dedicated to forming lasting relationships with everyone who visits the Practice and values their importance. He enjoys conversing with people on all topics and is a voracious reader but still enjoys a good old technicolor swashbuckling movie from the 30’s & 40’s. He will tell you, with great pride, he considers his greatest achievement to be his family, Lucas his son, and his beautiful wife Dr. Matouk.
